My name is Chris. I live just outside of Omaha NE which is (almost literally) in the middle of the U.S. I’m married to a wonderful woman who hopes I mature someday. I have three kids under the age of 10 who really think farts are funny (they totally are). I also have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Wookiee who smiles and pees when she sees me. Our daughter also has a cat who doesn’t really like me and likes to pee on my running shoes for some reason.
I ran four years of cross country in high school and two years of track. I was lazy (aka., I didn’t run) from the summer of 1998 until the summer of 2012. Since then, It’s helped shape who I am for many reasons. It’s also something that my wife enjoys, which allows us to get some non-kid time occasionally. While we don’t train together, I can’t imagine not having this outlet to share with her.
This place is a brain-dump for me. Getting my thoughts out means that I don’t bore my wife with training ideas and she doesn’t have to hear me over analyze training plans and paces. I’m still going to do it anyway, though, because I irritating her is one of my best skills.
I don’t expect to solve the world’s problems, but I hope you follow along and get something from this.
